Sula Rorbuer

Built beside the sea, Sula apartments are complimented by good boats, a filleting house, and the possibility to receive food in the restaurant or to take a drink in the pub. In 2010 there are built up the new exklusiv Rorbusuiter. Sula is populated by fishermen and is one of the outer islands in the archipelago surrounding Hitra and Frøya and offers excellent mid-Atlantic fishing grounds. However, because this is one of a group of islands there is almost always sheltered fishing available between the islands and skerries. Sula – or the “Atlantic village” as its sometimes called – is a dream come true for serious sea anglers, but this outer island is also perfect for nature lovers, looking for tranquillity or interested in the communal life of a typical Norwegian fishing community. Out here you’ll find everything that you need from a general store, a petrol station, and a post office. The owner Roger is at hand every day and is happy to pass on information regarding the fishing conditions and the latest weather forecast. There are two kinds of apartments available, including large, powerful, 19 ft alum.-boats with 70hp outboards with chart-plotter/sounders and a safety-set with flares etc. There is fabulous fishing on the doorstep and if the weather cuts up rough, there are plenty of sheltered spots amongst the islands and skerries.

At Sula Rorbuer, due to the centre’s location (on an island far out in the sea), the internet can sometimes be poor. Due to the same situation, they have removed all satellite dishes. This means that TV can also sometimes be difficult for the same reason as the Internet.
