Informationen Corona-Virus-Situation

Dear guests of Hitra Turistservice,

The entry requirements for Norway have now changed after a long time.

The following regulations are now in force:

On July 5th, the Norwegian entry regulations were adapted to the EU regulations. Since that day, Germany is no longer rated as a risk area and classified as a “green country”. Entry can take place without quarantine.

Travelers from other EU and Schengen area countries can enter Norway without quarantine as soon as their country is classified as a “green country”.

Please note that the entry requirements can change.

Before you start your journey, find out about the current entry regulations of the transit countries for the outward and return journey. These can change too.

From 19.07.21, transit by ferry (Color Line Hirtshals-Larvik) from Denmark to Norway is only possible for people with full vaccination.

People without full vaccination protection have to show a negative Covid-19 test to enter the transit countries Denmark and Sweden. PCR and antigen tests are accepted. PCR tests must not be older than 72 hours and antigen tests not older than 48 hours. This applies to the outward and return journey.

The municipality of Hitra does not offer Covid-19 tests for tourists.

Appointments for a Covid-19 test can be made in a private doctor’s practice in Trondheim:

Trondheim Private Legekontor

Another alternative are Covid-19 self-tests with certificate / QR code, which you can do by yourself in Norway. The tests must be ordered by yourself prior to your trip.

You can order the self-tests here:

Coteon – Covidtest Online – Wir ermöglichen dir eine unkomplizierte Online-Zertifizierung deines negativen Schnelltest-Ergebnisses für mehr Freiheit in der Zeit der Pandemie! Ein Testkonzept für’s ganze Land.

We would like to point out that the procurement of such a test and compliance with these regulations are the sole responsibility of the traveler.

Registration through an entry application and a test procedure at the border will still be necessary. For travelers with a valid EU Covid certificate, the entry registration and the test procedure are not required.
